Changes to NSW CPD for 2023-2024

27 April 2023

NSW Fair Trading has announced changes to the CPD requirements for Class 1 and Class 2 licence holders for the 2023-2024 CPD year.

What are the changes?

All Class 1 and Class 2 licence holders are required to complete four (4) hours of compulsory CPD for each licence category they hold between 23 March 2023 and 22 March 2024. This training is to be undertaken via classroom delivery or an interactive webinar. Regardless of the delivery method, an assessment will need to be completed and submitted for marking.

Where face-to-face training or interactive webinar is attended, completion of elective and business skills topics is not required. These topics will still be available for those completing ten (10) hours of online training.

What if I’m unable to attend face-to-face or virtual training?

If attendance is not possible for classroom training or an interactive webinar, completion of ten (10) hours of online delivery will need to be undertaken. This must include compulsory topics relevant to your licence category, plus your choice of other training to make up a total of 10 hours.

The Australian Real Estate Training College is currently preparing the schedule for both classroom and webinar delivery

Keep an eye out for our Country Circuit and City Circuit classroom tours. When dates and venues details are released, information will be available on our NSW CPD page or by contacting us at cpd@realestatetraining.com.au.

Are there changes to CPD for assistant agents?

There is no change to the CPD requirements for assistant agents. Completion of at least three (3) units from CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice is still required between 23 March and 22 March each year.
