An unrestricted registration (sales representative and property management registration) issued by SA Consumer and Business Services (CBS) will allow you to be employed by a licensed land agent in a sales, leasing, business broking, or stock and station role.

This course is appropriate for property managers wanting to upgrade to unrestricted registration (sales representative and property management registration).

Successful completion of this course will provide you with the prescribed training requirements needed as a property manager for application to SA CBS for a Sales Representative Registration.

A formal statement of attainment will be issued upon successful course completion.

This course requires completion of 14 units of competency:

2. CPPREP4004 Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate
3. CPPREP4101 Appraise property for sale or lease
4. CPPREP4103 Establish vendor relationships
5. CPPREP4104 Establish buyer relationships
6. CPPREP4105 Sell property
7. CPPREP4161 Undertake pre-auction processes
8. CPPREP4163 Complete post-auction processes and contract execution
9. CPPREP4201 Appraise commercial property
10. CPPREP4261 Appraise business for sale
11. CPPREP4264 Manage the sales process in business broking
12. CPPREP4504 Deliver presentations to clients in real estate
13. CPPREP5007 Develop a strategic business plan in the property industry
14. CPPREP5008 Market the property agency

There are no entry requirements for enrolling in this course.

To apply for a registration with the SA government, all applicants must:

• be at least 18 years old;
• provide CBS with proof they have completed the relevant qualifications or that they are enrolled and working towards a relevant qualification (this enables trainee registration) ;
• have a police clearance no more than 12 months old;

Assessment by the College is competency-based. Competence implies that an individual demonstrates an understanding of the knowledge that is the basis of the practical task being carried out (i.e. having the required skills to carry out a specific role).

Student assignments are assessed based on whether or not the student has achieved the performance criteria for each element specified in the unit/s of competency they are undertaking (put simply, if you meet all of the learning criteria for a particular unit, you are competent in that unit). This method of assessment judges performance against a prescribed standard, not against other students. Students are assessed as 'Competent' or 'Not Yet Competent'.

Assignment submissions are assessed within five business days of submission. If your assessor grades your work as ‘Not Yet Competent’, they will provide feedback on what else they need you to address in your assignment before they can assess you as ‘Competent’. The best part? We don’t charge any resubmission fees for assessing, so you can resubmit as many times as you need to before being graded as ‘Competent’.
